Affiliate Disclosure
SoloForge participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, Marcus earns a commission — at no extra cost to you. Here's exactly how that works.
The Short Version
Some links on SoloForge are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I earn a small commission. This doesn't change the price you pay. It doesn't change my recommendation. I only recommend tools I'd actually use — the commission structure is never what drives it.
Affiliate Programs SoloForge Participates In
The following programs are currently active on this site:
- PartnerStack — used for Kit (ConvertKit) and other SaaS tools
- Systeme.io — direct affiliate program
- Lemon Squeezy — direct affiliate program
- FreshBooks — affiliate program via Impact
- Cloudways — direct affiliate program
- ClickUp — direct affiliate program
- Others — additional programs may be added as new tools are reviewed; this page will be updated accordingly
How Commissions Work
When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network (such as PartnerStack or Impact) places a tracking cookie in your browser. If you complete a purchase within the cookie window — typically 30 to 90 days depending on the program — the network attributes the sale and I receive a commission.
The commission comes from the vendor's budget, not from your purchase price. You pay exactly what you would have paid by going directly to the vendor's site.
How Commissions Don't Work
Commissions do not influence which tools get recommended or how they're rated. Several tools covered on SoloForge don't have affiliate programs at all — they're covered anyway because they're worth knowing about.
When I compare two tools and one has a higher commission rate than the other, my recommendation is based on which tool I think is better for the reader's use case — not which one pays more. If you've read the Lemon Squeezy vs Gumroad comparison, you'll see that I recommend the lower-commission option for some users without hesitation.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). The FTC requires that material connections between a reviewer and the companies whose products are reviewed be clearly disclosed. Affiliate compensation is a material connection.
Affiliate links in individual articles are identified with a rel="nofollow sponsored" attribute in the HTML. Articles that contain affiliate links also include an inline disclosure note near the top.
